Thanks to technology, a pianist was able to give a concert in two places, both on the coast in Menton and in Breil-sur-Roya, a remote village at the gates of the Mercantour. This is a world first. The process is quite amazing.

In Breil-sur-Roya (Alpes-Maritimes)the piano comes to life, manipulated by invisible hands. The audience is amazed. A Beethoven’s trifle is heard, thanks to technology. This is a world first. The pianist, Paul Lay, is 35 km away, under the shade of the olive trees of Menton (Alpes-Maritimes). Simultaneously, thanks to a disc-keyboard, the inhabitants of Breil-sur-Roya attend a broadcast more real than nature.

So is there a difference in the game?It remains an acoustic piano, with the highest possible quality. We have integrated the system in the most transparent, invisible way possible.“, explains Loïc Fountainthe manager of Yamaha Europe. Thanks to technology, the concert also takes place in Menton (Alpes-Maritimes)on the seaside this time. From a distance, the two pianos can respond to each other. A first experience that can lead to others.
